The sweeping radar effect in fog

Is pretty kickass. Just thought I'd mention, especially given how much time I spent in fog today.

Cool. Glad to hear someone likes it :). I took some flak on the forums back when we implemented it. Probably still needs some tweaking, but I think gameplay in foggy sectors is gonna be interesting.

Aye it is an interesting effect.

By the way Inc, how much of pelatus did you intend to make foggy ? Having a brace of Arklans materialise 200 m away concentrates the mind ...

davejohn: right now it's supposed to just be the Pelatus I belt on the left side of the system. Were you asking what it's supposed to be now, or in the future?

Down the road we'll likely have more fogged reefs and things.

I'd also like to just mention that the stormed conquerable station isn't "centered" relative to where you jump in, and that is also awesome. Off-center stuff is somewhat more immersive I think.

We did that to try and make it more of a challenge to find. And yeah, we'll probably be doing that sort of thing more often, since we'll probably do more "secret" locations from now on.

Oh, happy to see fogged areas Inc. Fogs of different colours and densities, fogs which form and dissipate at random, I like random weather.
