bounties

when a player is killed for a bounty, does that player lose 1% of his licenses? I heard this on 100 a few times but never got it confirmed.

I sounds like a pretty effective way of making it less-than-exploitable, so I'm for it if it's there.

It's always been that way, and yeah, still happens, but 1% isnt really that much...

I have never had this happen to me. But then again I keep getting 1 mil bounties for killing newbs in greyspace. The whole system is so broken right now.

As for killing newbs in greyspace, I'd bet they were homed in nation-space, and that's why you're racking up the bounties. Just a guess, though.

Killing people at stations is pey peys problem, even Corvus stations are monitored, and there is no getting away from it.

[edit]

I once had bounties placed by all factions *but* Corvus, including Xang-Xi, I think it totaled 13 million, but it could have been more. So yeah, even sub factions will grass you up, even Corvus, they just wont ever place one themselfs, cos like, you can't be hate with Corvus. All other factions (and sub) will place bounties if they hate you, and you kill their stuff in Corvus space.

[edit 2]

Before anyone goes role play on my ass, read Corvus history, they are NOT a pirate group, they are a Corp.

They're a Corporation thats a front for the Syndicate, which is a pirate organization. So Corvus is both. QED.

Shhh, Corvus is a Corp :p

Even a front has to act like a normal business.....

The syndicate is not a pirate organization, they simply employ pirates as contractors for missions requiring the appropriate skillset. Corvus is not a pirate faction, they're more like a completely amoral faction with no motivations beyond their immediate interests. Also, no one has ever seen them, only intermediaries. People being murdered in the vicinity of their stations has a negative impact on other interests of theirs, and is therefore not desirable to them (their interests could be financial, territorial, strategic relationships, etc).

In response to the original post, I think the standing loss is in there, but honestly I'm not sure.

Wow, Thank you for the clarity Incarnate.

So.... Corvus is a bit like TGFT? Just poorer...;)

There's a lot more to Corvus that I've long planned to expose with gameplay. Hopefully that'll be taking place in the near future.

Ah. A Criminal organization, then. An entirely different subset of felons. -_o
