For real this time... Rawr.

How was GDC inc? I'm planning on coming down with the hardware in a month or so, I still have it sitting in my basement... lawld.

GDC was kind of intense. A lot of really long days without much sleep. But good stuff. Some solid meetings and interesting prospects. A few good sessions from other MMO developers, and the keynote from Sid Meier and talk from Will Wright (the latter was a secret thing) were interesting.

Not much on the NAOS engine/middleware front, but I didn't really expect much. Some possible partners and things.

I revived our existing relationships with ATI/Nvidia, and we're looking at working with them on some upcoming initiatives, with co-marketing benefits. ATI also sent me home with a pair of 5870s (very cool of them), which I guess we need 700-watt power supplies to use (?!). So they said anyway. Among other things we're looking at adding some DX11 support.

Plus lots of other stuff, corporate-relationship prospects that I can't really talk about, but hopefully will help us out over this coming year.

Unfortunately, I picked up a cold on the trip home, and my home desktop machine died about 30 seconds after I turned it on (I think a cap went on the board, possibly, haven't had time to really check it out), but aside from that.. all is well.

Welcome back Spidey noob.

Incarnate, a 500W PSU is sufficient for an HD 5870 card, 600W using Crossfire. Details: http://www.amd.com/uk/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-5000/hd-5870/Pages/ati-radeon-hd-5870-overview.aspx > Sys reqs

Lecter: Heheh. Well, relatively speaking, aside from that, all is well :). I was happy to not get sick on my way out there.

Lolin: Yeah, the AMD specs say it pulls 185W on its own. It really depends on what the rest of the system uses. They just recommended a 700W unit.

I've a RadeonHD5870 running on a 500W power supplie. I checked the power consume of the whole system while a benchmark (graphic/CPU intense) was running...the whole system (pc/screen) consumed ~400W

I've an AMD X2 with 2.6 GHz per core. (don't know it's correct name...)
