Just wondering if there's a way to disable the nebulas in the skyboxes? Just the nebulas?

Not just the nebulas, sorry.

Why would you want to? They're like, the only color in the game....

Ehhh, I find just the "2001: A Space Odyssey"-style black w/ stars backgrounds to be much more immersive.

Edit: that, and the nebulas look like spilled water paint.

Just turn off the background and that Goddamn music. I haven't seen or heard either in almost five years - much nicer environment. And it's easier to detect targets visually against the black.

Maybe I should sprinkle dust particles on my screen and pretend they're stars. And yeah, I've always had the music disabled.

I couldn't agree more, however, as my long forgotten suggestion requested, I'd still like to be able to change to a background color of my choice. I think targets would show up far better against some lighter colors.
