Probably not the most thrilling of topics, compared to gameplay changes, but I made some new merchandise available for sale. We're looking at integrating it more into the game website, so I wanted to have some variety at least for testing; and the "store" was a bit stale since I pulled all the 5th-anniversary limited edition stuff back in January.
This new design is similar to the Limited one, but uses a different fleet image I made when I redid the company site. It's just kind of a "general" design, but I think it's pretty cool, I'm going to be ordering one.
I will be making more specific designs and things down the road (factional, ship-specific, etc), but I'm going to be crazy busy for the next several weeks, so I just did this real quick for now.

Ooo, Ima get that glass for my gameplay drinking. You should add a shot glass, then we can play the VO drinking game!
Unfortunately, they don't offer shotglasses. Maybe some future merch. Personally I would go for whiskey tumblers.
Oh man, both of those are unforgivable omissions. I'm starting a letter writing campaign immediately.
hehehe...
Shotglasses would be kickass, I need to get one of those pintmugs.

You should make a Vendetta shotglass with Lebermac's name on it.
hmm...what I really want is a joystick, which is designed for VO.
-> 6 axis (2 for strafing, 1 for rolling, one for nick, one for speed adjustment and one for rudder)
-> countless buttons (at least 12, for both hands: primary fire, secondary fire, tertiary fire, voice chat (push to talk), afterburner, activate, open navigation window, enabling/disabling AutoAim, targeting next, targeting previous, targeting nearest, change target mode (it's a tripple mode: first: everything, 2nd only enemy, third only "things" like cargo, roids and so on)
of course it should work under all operating systems which are currently supported by VO (windows, mac, linux).
would be awesome.

I'll get right on making a custom branded VO joystick :).
Seriously though, Logitech makes some pretty decent stuff. So does Saitek. Or they used to.

I've two Saitek's atm (ST290Pro) but they don't provide enough buttons...and one is just a few months away from getting broken.
And the other saitek joysticks are mostly either incompatible due to a lack of drivers for linuxoid systems or doen't have enough keys.
and logitech...I'll take a look at them.
(I wish I would know C/C++ and have experience in programing drivers...would make things MUCH easier.)

pleeeease ;)

huh? seems my information were a little outdated...there are even libs for the MFD under linux...whoah. Now I'm thinking about buying this thing...

the Saitek X52 thing had a lot of.. buttons and knobs and dials and switches and.. stuff. According to their page it has 282 individual controls if you use the shift buttons, but that probably requires some non-linux software.
regarding to the shift button: I can ask a friend of mine, he has a X52, if I remember correct, the Shiftbutton works like a "normal" button...
Y'all need to learn the way of the trackpad. Simplicity is good for you.

I've been flying keyboard/trackpad for about five years now, and have killed all sorts of people while doing so. It gives you a great sense of literal fingertip control.
since madcatz bought saitek they are shit, sadly. the old st290pro is lightyears better than the new cyborgX, which btw the hat switch is already busted on mine and i'm only had it a few months. Too bad my old 290 is 1000 miles away... i miss my friend of 3 years.
P.S.
Flask, shotglass, and Deneb Rum! Get on it!

Detructor check out the Logitech g13 game pad for your left hand - lots of buttons and a joystick that works great for strafing! Inexspensive as well!
I own 2 ST290 pro, I'm using both of them...they are shit.
The hat switch's x-axis is not working anymore on one of them (that one which i'm using for strafing), when you try to use the rudder control (rotate the stick in one direction) does work...sometimes...and sometimes not.
I simple hate them...I've to buy one or two new joysticks, depends on the button count ;)
