Economics and Financing

Feb 10, 2010 rg10 link
My guild is in a strange position, and maybe other guilds have a similar question as we do. What is the meaning and utility of a large bank account now and as applied towards a potential economic redux and implementation of large toys (stations and cap-ships)?

1) Will this large lump of credits be worth anything with economic redux, or will we hit a point where we all make new accounts for something like Vendetta Online 2 and start off fresh?

2) What are some base projections of things we could potentially spending billions (a modest or large sum depending on who's counting) of credits on, until or after redux happens?

Two large economic structures may be introduced in the near future; the cost of station defense and running it, and possibly renting of capital ships (which is making some modest progress so far).

For instance, how much do we conceive station defenses costing on a weekly basis? And should effectiveness in trading and mining play a large role? Roughly...1 million per week? 10 million per week? I'm talking orders of magnitude here, not fine tuning the numbers. We need to make forecasts.

Lots of questions, I know.

You will be pleased to learn that CHRN has found great meaning and utility in the their guild bank.

I thought this was going to be about the laughable futility of being in or joining 97% of the guilds out there.

As far as what guilds/players will be spending the cash on... I suppose supplies for stations and ships.

yea im sure once cappies and stations become availible a large portion of the cash in vo will simply be blown to bits by people who've been around for years screwing around.

I highly doubt that.

lol @ maal, indeed we have. I'd wager that CHRN has the most effectively utilized guild bank in the game.
