couple of mission questions
forgive me if these have been answered. i looked, but did not find.
question 1: can i have several active missions at a time? if so, how?
question 2: during a recent mission, i had to log out before it was completed. when i returned, the mission was listed as "interrupted" and i had to start over. is this normal?
thanks for the help. i'm really diggin' what i've played so far and just want to get a better grasp on it.

No.
Yes.
Yes.
Some missions don't terminate on logoff, it depends on the mission. Many do, however, since their state data can be kind of time dependent. However, the impact of that is usually not super huge (with the exception of a couple of tough, lengthy missions), as long arcs are broken up into multiple missions, to allow people to take breaks before continuing on with the next segment.
ok, thanks for the info folks. ya, the mission that got inturrupted wasn't too involved. somthing like "bring 26 of this type of ore back to the station." since my ship couldn't hold that much at once, i had to make multiple trips. but when i logged before getting all 26, what i had done was lost. good to know the larger missions are broken up, tho.
Is there a way to figure out if a mission will get interrupted, or do we have to figure it out the hard way?
Most missions that allow you to continue through logouts say so in the mission log. As a general rule, though, finish your missions before logging.
