Custom window size when running the game in windowed mode

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, but I don't believe its specific to running the game on any particular operating system, so I'm posting it here:

I use multiple monitors, so I can't reasonably run the game in fullscreen mode, as it expands across all monitors when I only want it visible on one. However, I'm having issues setting the correct resolution in windowed mode. The in-game resolution selector only shows the combined resolution of both my monitors (3200x1200), and attempting to manually specify the appropriate xres and yres values in config.ini has no effect; the game simply launches at 3200x1200, and rewrites those values to the config file.

Am I doing this the wrong way? Is there something else wrong with my setup? Or does the engine simply not support running in resolutions other than what it detects automatically?

I have no clue how the game should process this, but I have a hacky fix in the meantime (before someone more knowledgeable shows up): put your two monitors into "Mirror" mode, then start up VO, set the right setting, then un-mirror your monitors (there should be a key command for this. apple-f1 if you're on a recent mac, an old mac is f7, if you're on a pc... god help you).

mr_spuck's solution worked for me, setting the appropriate xsize and ysize values.

Also, for the record I'm on Gentoo.
