Ok. I am here just under a week of this posting. I wasn't sure I was going to like this game...I'll admit it.

However I was pleasantly surprised.

I picked up the 8 hour trial on Friday the 16th...poked around for a little...and logged out. Saturday, I got on...and started really getting into the game. Started talking to people...Finding I really enjoyed it....Not just because of the game itself....but it has something I haven't had since the early days of Star Wars Galaxies...The Social aspect of the game. Back in the day, I enjoyed interacting with people. So far...even tho there have been a few people that irritated me...I am rather happy here. I know people have come and gone...even said they'd stay...and then vanished.

I have chosen to stay, for as long as I can. I even canceled my SWG accounts because I know I'll be over here.

So hopefully soon...you will see Sural Argonus and the Argonian Ryders making a name for ourselves as a guild that helps each other and everyone we can, especially new players.

I have founded the Ryders, but I need to add more people to keep us alive. I will hopefully be able to do that before the 48 hour cut off.

The Ryders were founded in May of 2003, as the server police for the server I ran called Argonia Station. We became known in the Freelancer circles of the day, as being fair, but strong...and still have a good time without hurting others. This is something that we hold dear to our hearts even to this day, and I hope I can find people here that have a similar outlook.

We are not a pirating guild at all. We will be helping others with missions, as escorts for trading runs, or as a guard while mining. Ryders will also hopefully be seen participating in events and Nation Wars. We aren't snobs, and will take anyone from any nation as long as they are willing to help others. I will not expect any Itani or Serco national to help their enemy.

Soon I will be adding a VO section to our guild forums, and hopefully bringing more of our Ryders to this game.

I posted something similar to to this for our new 'Synthesis' guild and was told I should have posted it in the Role Playing guild so if this topic disappears it has probably been moved there by a moderator.

Being that I am not a Role Player...I tend to avoid those places. :D

Welcome to the game Argonus, glad you like it and decided to stay. The Role Play forum does contain RP threads as the name implies, but it has also become the place where guild stuff goes via "discussion of in-game events, organizations, and the like..."

Shouldn't matter - if you subscribe, your present character or set of characters will come with you.

Other than that - expect to lose if you PvP for a long time, but don't get discouraged. Just look at it as a learning experience and enjoy yourself. PvP in this game is... complex and subtle. It takes a while to really get into it and do it well.
