*** Vendetta 1.8.96
- Proximity warning now only warns every 2.5 seconds.
- Another experimental fix for Netbooks running Linux.
- Fixed random crashes for some players when they enter sectors.
- Increased reliability of sector startup. It should fix bot problems in Dau L-10 and other places.

I'm glad to see that the player base has been picking this up; the devs are probably buried up to their eyeballs in work right now.

We've done this for years.

Seriously? What the fuck is wrong with your brain?

Nothing. Yours?

Yes, exactly what went wrong in that mutated ball of angst and bear-piss you call your brain to turn you into such a hateful and angry person, Dr. Lector?
Oct 12, 2009 Pointsman link
Well, it takes a good deal less than 10 seconds to copy and paste the update message and players *are* the ones who usually do it. What part of this are you disputing, Shilmazel?

He's a lawyer shlimazel :)

I'm disputing the part that says that Dr. Lecter has the right to exercise cruel language on an individual unfairly and without being challenged, Pointsman, simply because his particular target is ignorant of a fact. I wonder at your choice to ignore the obvious and pin my response on something it is quite obviously not directed at, also.

Ah, I see. I was confused about what point you were trying to make as Lecter didn't address his comments to you and the style of your own post suggested to me that you don't have any problems invectives in general. I thought maybe you thought that there wasn't any truth behind Lecter's words and I wanted to make sure the facts were clear.

My understanding of the forum rules is that you don't have the right to flame people either. It's noble of you to try to police the forums but I don't know if you really want to try to take on that responsibility.

Sorry for my confusion.

It's actually my responsibility. While I don't approve of the level of invective seen here, it is the devs who get to set the bar. The danger is in allowing oneself to unknowingly go beyond the standard when retorting to an obvious troll. Don't get sucked in.

Oh, and we're off topic, so:
