How the hell does the inventory/station space rental work?
This may be a bug, if not it's terribly unclear how this works:
I have 4 items in Latos N2, my inventory shows 23/20,000cu. It is displayed in yellow type, and in the info window says I am renting 10,000cu's at 3,866c/week.
All the other stations I have inventory at, some which are well above the previous amount, are x/10,000 and are not costing me any money.
Why is Latos N2 charging me money to store my 23 cu's of stuff when Azek M4 isn't charging me anything to store 1400 cu's?

Ok, someone just showed me the "storage rental" button under the "commerce" tab. This is a very unclear aspect of the UI. There needs to be some logical path from the "Inventory" and even the "Sell" screens to this. Either that or make it automatic; you breach the 10,000cu's, you get charged. You drop below it, you stop being charged.
that's gotta be a bug.
I was afk for 9 months during the time station limits and rentals took effect. When I cam back I was over the limit in several stations and never was charged for rental. I have since sold below the limit so those things can't be checked, but yeah.

No, we implemented it this way, to give people who were going to be already "over limit" a grace period to move their stuff around. So, inventories that were "over" the limit before we implemented the charging/rental system, are still currently "free". I believe you can't add anything new to those station inventories, however, until you reduce it and begin renting. Eventually, yes, we will begin charging for those pre-existing over-inventory areas.
Either way, the UI is very unclear as to how to go about removing the charge. The fact that you have to manually elect to stop paying for rental space once you no longer need it is unintuitive. It should just happen automatically.
Yeah, that should.
I think I've been renting a Nyrius station for a good 4 months cause I couldn't figure out how to stop renting. This really could use some work.
Agrees that things could be more clear. The suggestions for changes are good so far.
One thing that some of you might not realize is that if you go to your PDA / Inventory screen, any station you are renting additional storage space is highlighted in yellow. (just a fyi)
