- Improved capship asteroid avoidance logic.
- Changed static wireframe radar extender effect to a sweeping effect.
- Changed secondary light source in fog/storm to be the colour of the fog/storm when present.

Also, Turbo Thrust Const should be exposed now for ships. I don't know why Ray didn't put that in the motd, or if he called the stat "Turbo Thrust Const", but he said it was in there.

This is the number that determines the rearward power output of a ship under turbo, which amounts (when combined with ship mass) to how quickly you can accelerate when pushing "tab". The Moths have the most, I think, since they can carry massive loads. But it also shows one of the recent Raptor buff benefits.

Out of curiosity, did this update fix any of the major issues relating to the turrets in Deneb?

I know that area has been largely shut-down to group activity because all the Itani turrets aren't behaving properly to sector-control, and they never go away either.

I've been a bit out of it lately, and haven't heard of this bug. I didn't see anything jump out from a quite look at the Bugs forum, either. Is there a thread for this?

Which "turrets" do you mean? The single-ones in the conquerable sectors? Those don't ever go away, they're supposed to switch sides with the result of a given skirmish.

Looks like some awesome stuff coming for both traders and pirates from that newsletter you sent out! Can't wait to see it implemented.

- The Universe Redux is right around the corner! We're in the final prep stages of reworking the galaxy for far greater asteroid density, and opening up entirely new kinds of gameplay with:

* Statically fogged sector "reefs" in systems, supplanting most
random ion storms.
* Asteroid radar occlusion, permitting friend and foe to hide in dense asteroid sectors.
* New radar enhancements, extension visualizations and grouped
benefits. Waypoints, buoys, etc.
* Limitations to awareness of who is in a given sector, allowing more stealthy gameplay, whether pirate, miner or trader.
* New "secret" locations in fogged sectors, specialized stations for pirates and mercenaries, not marked on any map. Talk to the right NPC, "know" the right person, etc.

FINALLY! Radar Occlusion! Totally Awesome!
