I got there by a bug... the station might not actually exist (physically), who knows.

Here's how to get to the s8 station:

1) Go to the large center ice roid.

2) Find the small chunk that looks like a Prometheus

3) Make a line from the sun to the planet and aim at the center point between them.

4) Fly 150 km in that direction. It's sitting out there.

you would think with the help they were given getting to the other hidden areas, they wouldnt object to showing the way.. thatll teach us to guide those that have never been before ;)

i actually spent some time today to check out what phaserlight posted. i found no station. i think it's safe to say there is no station in sector 8.

But those screenshots look damned convincing. It would take a whole hell of a lot of Photoshop skillz to make them look that good, as well as an extreme attention to detail. It wouldn't be worth it to fake it.

There is not, nor has there ever been, a station in 8.
