i find this hilarious that this coincides with the week i have off work.

Indeed, at which point, after being entirely sheltered from the open PVP aspect of the game, they'll spend all their cash buying the most expensive ship they can,
filling it with cargo,
traveling down to grey,
and promptly getting blasted as they try to coast through B8

Copious yelling and screaming will then ensue...

Which will result in older players calling them names for being dumb and traveling into dangerous space unprepared.

And we'll have lost a few new players...

Can we get back to LARGE disclaimers which say that no part of the universe is SUPPOSED to be safe? I remember being new... it made it thrilling, I'd poke my head out of the station like a nervous winter groundhog, look both ways and then scamper, scamper, scamper to the next hole. It was great!

Well, I added a new "Combat 3" tutorial that also says "beware of grayspace!", for whatever that's worth.

We're still going to do the whole leaving-capitols and leaving-nationspace warnings and stuff, but haven't yet.

I only bring it up cuz it happened just recently,

but the level of name-calling it resulted in was pretty shocking for just a toasted centaur.

I'm pretty sure that there are a number of disclaimers "warning, protection does not mean safety" in every sensible training mission

The MMORPG.COM promo brought alot of traffic as I remember. Hope this one is as good.

Maybe a article written about VO for these sites is in order. Other space flight mmo's seem to be delayed in release or are not for sometime. This is the best space flight sim I have found.
