They look nice. A few banners with ships engaged in combat would be effective. The banner emphasizing EXPLORE could have a ship jumping - that effect is stunning.

I'm also using firefox and they work fine, so it must be an ad-blocker that's hiding them because they're a standard banner resolution (728x90).

Anyway, there are lots of things one can do to make banners better, if one spends the time. That's kind of true of everything. if someone else would like to do so, be my guest. I have other stuff to attend to, at present.

I didn't mean to say they are bad, and do realize that you don't have time, it's just that, well as you say, you'd need to spend more time to make them really good.

Indeed adblock plus has a 728x90 rule by default, and the images have 728x90 in their filename.

How about the banner at the top of this site? I rather like it as it is. Just superimpose the ad-specific elements of the others.
