We experienced a webserver outage this evening (disk failure.. actually both disks in a raid mirror, somehow), and we're back up again, for the moment. More migrations to do later today. This.. sucks, as it totally takes resources away from the debugging and new-content-for-fri (newspost). But, having a functional website seems kind of important, and it's very cool that we were able to restore everything so quickly.

None of this should have impacted the game, at all.

Anyway, FYI.

That is an amazing failure and recovery. Thanks for post - I thought it was just me.

Seriously, don't worry about it, Inc. I've seen entire RAIDs fail at the same time while working at a datacenter. Weird, but it happens.

Might indicate the reason was something affecting both drives.

The site is now magically served from another machine. Yay.

Hmm, except maybe time zones aren't right? Crap.

lol. Now I know why the RAID array failed -- chronoton radiation. :P
