Stop messing with my colour settings!!!!
Seriously! I've brought this up before concerning the way VO forces your Gamma settings, but now this:
I recently purchased a new LCD and a Spyder monitor calibrator. So, essentially I've got my colour settings EXACTLY how I want them. I go to boot up VO, and lo and behold VO forces my profiles out of whack! All returns to normal when VO shuts down.
Spec:
Macbook Pro dual 2.4 (2007)
4 gigs Ram
Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT
DELL SP2309W LCD

This happens to me rarely, but it does happen. I'm on the similar setup: EDIT: I stand corrected. it does happen every time.. just never noticed it.
MBP dual 2.5Ghz (October 2008)
4gb RAM
NVIDIA GEForce 9600M GT
AppleCinemaDisplay 23"
EDIT: doesn't this belong in bugs?

This happens to me every time I've ever played.
You already had a thread on this!
Sure, but why would I waste my time trying to find it when keeners like yourself will do the work for me?
Haha what, now Miharu will find old threads, too? I usualy rely on Whistler for that.
/me points...
Fetch!
P.S. Whats a keener?

This isn't something we go out of our way to do on purpose. If I recall, it's a side effect of OpenGL. I don't really remember the specifics.
Well damn. This puts a serious dent in my ability to play VO while at work.
If the color settings return to their prior state after you exit the game.. what difference does it make?
"Keener" is Canadian for brown-noser, though in a slightly more polite way. There's also kind of an over-eager / pedant usage that could apply here (from the point of view of the person who used the term).
I think he means he plays and minimizes when he needs to do work. If VO is running, then gamma is changed and thus he can't work (assuming he works in graphics).
Just work up a different monitor color profile & and switch between them when necessary.
OK, I think it's a good idea for me to figure out what it's doing and make an option to turn it off in the Video Options.
It's not that bad for me, I just took this as a normal drawback when playing VO in windowed mode.
Still, I hope you manage to make it go away :)
