Pantherx69 said... unfortunately many of those designs either contain or are based on others' IP so there's no way they can be added to VO.
... and that's why all of these threads die.

LOL.....and that's why I'm working on original designs for VO :)
I don't think you quite get it, Panther.
Putting model ideas out there is all good and fine, but even your original works still retain an IP that doesn't belong to Guild Software--yours. Even going through all the release paperwork saying that you won't sue if Guild makes it big (not that theres much a risk of that--you seem a decent fellow) it still scares the crap out of prospective investors. After all, if its build on essentially "free" stuff, what, exactly, would the speculators be investing their money in? Obviously, Guild can't afford to lose that option, so even the PCC stuff gets a thorough run-down before the company accepts outside help. They're not trying to be rude; its just good buisiness sense.
Besides, "just" a model doesn't really cut it. You've got to skin the model for every detail setting and resolution, and make physics and collision models besides. The latter two go well beyond the basic modelling, and even assuming the devs decided to let you help out, you'd still have to learn how to make them. This would take time; a commodity the developers have made abundantly clear that they don't have a lot of (only four devs and the occassional intern to split the workload means that they work almost all the time). And thats not even touching base on the testing angle of things...
Still, not to discourage you too much: I'm sure the devs would appriciate some pretty pictures anyway, even if they can't really use them. Who knows? Maybe they'll be inspired. Just don't go banking on the assumption that you'll be seeing any of your work in-game, at least not any time soon (especially considering the rate at which new features are implemented =^p).

Again, if this really happens, I'd play VO like never before. Hell, even a graphical update of what we GOT would get me back.
I can see why these threads come and go...consider this one RIP as well.
Well, have a look here first:

The devs may very well be on a long and much-deserved weekend. You should probably email them and include your portfolio and all the details you would like them to know (do not assume they have seen this thread, and do not simply link to the thread). Then, wait patiently.

Whistler I really appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I actually spoke to Incarnate ingame and he said the same thing but I don't know where to find his email.
That said I got the exact info I needed so I'll wait until I've produced some material according to those specs before I contact them.
Thanks again.

(and yes I know some creeper bots can still decode the email this way, so don't bother pointing it out, people).
