Well, I hope it's a positive thing..

I mean, you know that I support you guys (why else would I have been here for 7 years?), but I'm having trouble seeing the end of the tunnel (i.e., VO 2.0).

I'll be posting a 1.9 milestone list, before long (which is mostly completed), and a 2.0 list after that.

In the meantime, though, a lot of what I have to do is just.. keep focused on improving the game and what I'm doing right now. That includes fixing issues I've created as part of the recent rebalancing process, and so on. It's all very well to make new stuff, but doing so while a lot of existing things are left half-broken is not the best.

Thanks for the newspost.
If i may suggest... if shit is not working right (border skirmish), kill it and move on to more important stuff.
There will always be some shit hitting the fan at some point but we can live with that IF we can see that VO is moving forward.

It happened before, good and bad decisions but you did it:
Crackbotting was fun - you killed it.
Bounty System was fun - you killed it.
NPC convoys with tridents was fun - you killed it.
Pirate NPCs were annoying - you killed it.
CTC was fun - you declared it dead and to be replaced.
And more blah, blah.

Umm, border skirmish IS one of the important things we're working on for the future. There are other threads and newposts that explain this..

I tried to read the news post but it was like trying to read tea leaves because my brain is all muddy from the weeks events. I did see something about some changes to faction and economy stuff and I would like to say thanks for the changes whatever they may be.

"Border Skirmish needs a lot of work, we know. I expect we'll be re-examining that fairly soon (and not Soon(tm)). We've been trying to nail down some highly sporadic bugs related to the general "Skirmish" stuff, each release has added new debugging tools in one area or another, so please keep telling us whenever you run across Border or Hive Skirmish related problems. We would really like to nail down these issues before we expand on the gameplay."

Awesome Inc! Thanks for the update, you have no idea how much it means to us to hear what's going on behind the scenes!

Not to be a pest, but when will the TRAC system be implemented?

If you did that, at least 2 people that I know of (Roguelazer and I) would shaddup about "When is ______ going to be done?"

Referring to my post from December 3rd, I will be posting a bullet-point list of milestones for major versions (1.9 and 2.0), and not promising anything related to the Trac in the immediate future.
