Xithricite
I accepted a mining mission and they want me to retrieve some xithricite. The mission does not give any information about where to find the ore because it says "Ishik is mostly found in the shiny crystal asteroids, and xith... we know you've had to track that down before" which is pretty annoying because it's the opposite of what I wanted to know.
I know xithricite comes from green asteroids. I checked vowiki and itan ore: Aquean, Ferric, Carbonic, Silicate, Ishik, VanAzek, Lanthanic. The rest of the systems are on "has not been prospected yet" status. I stopped jumping from sector to sector looking for green asteroids in itan after reading this, but now I'm working on other systems.
Where in the universe can I find me some green asteroids preferably close to itan?

Try itan m10 or somewhere near there. Could be that it was m8, k10 or k8.. I don't remember exactly.. it had a large creepy looking roid in it!
Prospecting is a bitch ain't it?
Someone was talking about that huge asteroid in Itan, but I never found it. Someone else mentioned the Divinia system and I found some there at M-14 Coranis Watch (Itani Barracks), thanks to everyone and their assistance.
Extruber: I mentioned divina. I onlu got to M14 in divina so thats the only place i knew. But if you have time take the prospecting missions. You will learn alot about the roids in different regions.
I just did this misson a day or two ago. I spent about an hour looking around in roid fields until I found some. I actually learned a bit since I had to look at all types of roids and eventually take my first trip into to grey space to find it. Maybe that was the intent of the mission...to get you out looking around and learning about the roids.
Not to be nasty, but why would you not take the opportunity to look around rather than looking for the quick path of going straight to it?

I searched two systems for almost three hours. I saw all eight different asteroids, except the green asteroids (which can be composed of VanAzek and Xithricite ore), before looking up the mining page on vowiki.
Not to point fingers, but this was because I received bad information from someone, which was: "xithricite comes from green asteroids" and "they are in practically every sector of every system".
I found the ore with the help from someone else, and I learned faster from the mining page on vowiki than I ever could just randomly searching for green asteroids.

information from an open channel on any game should always be suspect....
