WoW will be around for a long time to come, but it's days in the spotlight are about to come to an end. I give WoW another year, and we'll start to see subscribership drop.

I have a feeling WoW is going the way of network tv.

I still wouldn't be surprised if the next big thing is by Blizzard because their development resources are so huge.

I'd love to see VO be the next big thing :( VO's potential is limitless, what you guys have here is a gleaming gem of gaming gorgeousness. It's just not done!

Is anybody else unable to vote at all? When I goto vote, the "click to vote" buttons never load...

Yes, yoda. It is showing up that way on my laptop too. However, I can still vote. If you have the page loaded from before they took the buttons offline, you can still vote just fine. That's the way I have it on my other computer... So if you happen to have left the page open overnight, don't close it or reload it. Just leave it open so you can continue voting.

Can you post the URL to our button? I think that's all that is needed. In Firefox you can just move the mouse over it, right-click, and "copy link location".

I wonder what the deal is, it's supposed to run until the 10th.

Although.. I wonder if they've removed the buttons to see how many more "mass-votes" come in from automated scripts that are clearly just hitting the URL (and potentially also ifconfig'ing through large blocks of IP address space). Then maybe they'll ban those IPs or something. Just a thought.

I get the "I wanna vote" button, but pressing that only shows the Top 20. Any ideas?

I don't think there's any way to link it. It's not a URL. It's a script or something (will only work within the actual webpage). I can confirm that I can still vote though.

to vote for vo use this:

item=1 is for 1st category, item=2 for 2nd, etc. (as they appear from the top)

and this is to vote for guild:
http://contest.mmosite.com/gameprize/dovote.php?id=187&item=6

you should then see something like:
187|&&|4132
where 1st number is id and second number of votes so far
if it gives 0|&&|0 then you have already voted from that ip so it didn't count.

Sweet! You saved the day, maq! Didn't see that. I thought I had checked to see if that worked a few days ago, but it may have been the first vote, which worked differently.
