VO on windows 7
just in case people are thinking of trying Windows 7, I can say that it works fine for Vendetta both with the DX9 and the OpenGL driver. Installed fine, ran fine, no glitch whatsoever.
This probably belongs in the "windows" thread, but since it's kind of a hot issue I thought maybe it could get some attention here before it's moved to Windows.
Greetings.

I had some pretty loud buzzing in the audio in Win7 for just VO. What sound hardware do you have, ratonu?
I have yet to try it, all i lack is some DVD's to burn the vista install worked inside XP the doze 7 doesn't :(
Runs fine on my Macbook Pro (Late 2008) in Windows 7, no buzz of any sort.
Spidey: You can actually install win7 from a usb drive too, if you've got one.

I installed Windows 7 over Vista with an iso mounting program of a name that escapes me at the moment.
I haven't tried installing VO yet but I don't for see any problems.
The only issue I've had with Vista/Windows 7 is that after the first Vista patch, it looks like my sound card occasionally resets. You'll hear a slight pop and if you have a System Control application that display the sound levels when you press the appropriate buttons, that screen will pop up for a second then disapear.
Did you have Vista before momerath? If so, did you have buzzing at all with it?

I have a SoundMax Intergrated Digital HD Audio, it's on Compaq 8xxxp laptop.
Myth: You can install from a mounted drive only if you upgrade from inside Vista. XP won't work, at least that's what MS says.

Nah, Myth. I upgraded from 2000. :)
