Client not connecting, can anyone give me the IP's?
It looks like my DNS servers are fubared.
Client check works fine but when trying to login, my client is stuck at "connecting" and then times-out. Looks like a DNS issue.
Can anyone give me the names/IPs of the servers that the game is looking for so I can put them in the hosts file?
Many thanks!

majikthise.guildsoftware.com should still be the production server.
Also, someone just told me that one of Level3's facilities on the east coast (in either DC or NYC) isn't working right, so if your packets are getting sent through there on the way to VO you might be having problems because of that.

just checked.
i can ping update1.vendetta-online.com just fine.
i also cannot access www, although www resolves just fine (i am on a proxy now)
I will get a hold of the IP for majikthise. and put in the hosts just in case, although it doesn't look like a nameserver error anymore
I will switch to my neighbors wireless network and try to connect.
UPDATE: I can also connect to the test server just fine.
weird.
any other ideas?

update1 and the test server are on completely different internet connections from the actual game (our office versus our datacenter/colo). update2 and majikthise (204.15.102.5) are on the same network. It sounds as though there's a fundamental routing problem from your location. You might try a traceroute to the above IP, and contact your ISP.
seems to be fixed for now, thanks for the hints, i can generally reroute myself once i find the problem and the right addresses. I also have backup connections at hand, so it's never a critical issue. Anyway, again, thanks for the hints, will keep this thread for future reference on similar situations.
According to the intarwebs, both Level3 and AT&T had major outages today. So the Internet might have been a bit... flaky...
