how come i have never seen a [UNPF] online? And would it really hurt to have two seperate guilds defending weaker people?

It would actually help in my opinion... Scatter the power.

It doesn't matter that fifty eons ago somebody made a clan that had similar goals. The time is now, let's not be distracted by this and continue planning this necessary organisation.

the reason why the UNPF has never been lifted from the ground is this one:

number of pirates on at evry time: 3 - 5 players
number of taotal unpf people : 3 -5, on at a time : 1 - 2.

the UNPF was to little to do anything to anybody, and besides most of them quit because of the bad community.

cheers

Personally, the Knights of Vendetta sounds like a great idea, and the only reason i would have against joining them is that i suck in PVP combat, unless its a cargo vessle. Sorry, im just going to have to kill you Vendettarian Knights >.<

But I think its a great idea. And I would love to take part in founding them.

/me strokes dreamweaver :P
/me strokes all the computer graphics programs known to man

anything you want doing, i would be happy to give it a shot.

Oh, and as a rather poor pirate, I cannot commit to anything yet, but i assure you that any money going to assist newbies is money well spent, and the best way to channel that is with the police force. I personally try not to attack newbies, only if fired upon (and ususally i say oi m8, wtf r u doing tbh)

Im afraid i cant say the same about Transports. Sorry, Im a pirate. What else do you want me to do.

We would need some kind of website for the guild. Should it be an independent site or should we ask for it to be included in one of the already existing ones? (like www.roguelazer.com) And more importantly, would anyone like to be in charge of writing it?

Okay, how's this for a constitution:

Brotherhood of Cosmic Knights
[Kni] Guild

The Brotherhood of Cosmic Knights embodies the ultimate force of Good throughout the Galaxy. They will defend those in need, hone their fighting skills to the highest level, explore the galaxy in search of knowledge, and live and die by the Code of Honor.

Rule #1: If a newbie/trader is in trouble, defend them. If a newbie/trader asks to be escorted or to be helped, help them.

Rule #2: Always fight with honor. Never under any circumstances mine the station (laying mines within 1 km of a station) or nuke exploit (firing a nuke at a station within docking distances and then docking immediately).

Rule #3: Never attack another player unless one of the following five situations applies:
i) Self Defense: If you are fired upon you may eliminate the player who fired on you. However it is the mark of a disciplined Knight to allow the player chance to stand down before delivering the killing strike.
ii) Defending a newb/trader: If a newbie, trader or player in need is under assault by a pirate or griefer, you may eliminate the threat. Be sure you are aware of the entire situation before you enter needlessly into battle.
iii) Duel: You may duel another player at any time provided they accept your challenge. Always fight within the given parameters of the duel. A standard duel begins from a range of 2km and ends in the death of one of the combatants.
iv) Flag Capture: If you are involved with a flag capture and encounter a member of another nation who is interfering, you may eliminate the threat provided you first declare yourself as hostile. Needless killing during a flag capture is not tolerated.
v) Sector War: Knights should generally avoid sector wars as they may conflict with their Knightly duties. However, you may enter into a sector war provided you first declare yourself as hostile.

Rule #4: Always help a fellow member of the Brotherhood if they need help. Two Knights should never fight each other unless in a duel or flag capture, and then only in a spirit of friendly combat.

Rule #5: Breaking any of the above four rules is grounds for immediate excommunication by a two thirds majority vote within the Brotherhood. An excommunicated Knight will no longer be recognized by the guild until he performs a penitent quest to be decided on by the remaining guild members.

Rule #6: Knights should practice their combat skills as often as possible through duels and friendly sparring so that they become deadly fighters without needing to exploit.

Rule #7: Knights should trade and assist in flag captures in order to earn money for the guild provided their actions do not conflict with the first four rules.

Rule #8:
i) If two Knights of opposing nations face each other during a flag capture, each may aid his own nation provided their actions do not conflict with the first four rules. Both Knights must declare themselves as hostile. A Knight assisting in a flag cap must already be declared as hostile.
ii) Two Knights of opposing nations involved in a sector war should not attack each other, unless they both agree personally.

Rule #9: All Knights carry equal weight within the guild. Any decision regarding the Guild must be made by a two thirds majority vote, either in-game or in-forum. The decision will be passed as soon as a two-thirds majority is reached.

Rule #10: A Knight may take on one player as a squire. The Knight must be responsible for training the squire in the ways of the guild until the squire is ready to pass a final challenge. The squire must demonstrate both excellent Knowledge and Skill through some trial determined by the squire’s Knight. If the squire fails, he must wait for at least one week before attempting to pass the trial again. If the squire is successful, at the end of the trial he is met by the Knight and another member of the guild and is sworn into service of the guild. At this time the squire creates a new character with the [Kni] prefix and is given 1 million credits to start his journey.

Phaserlight, wonderful start! Your constitution is well thought out. We need to create a structure of the organisation. I propose the council with no single leader, but round table situation for elected and respected knights.

Thanks randomize! I agree with you, we should have a "round table" for members of the guild to make decisions. No supreme leader.
