Best People in the world...
Coming back to this game after a year i realized that i really missed the players. (Yes, even the serco scum). This might not be the most engaging or best looking game but it will always have my favorite players and friends in it.
I hope to reconnect with some more of my long lost friends and make some new ones.
Happy holidays and Happy new year to all.

One love.
same to you man. I'm just can't wait to see Borb. But i see more of my old friends each day. This is a great community.
To echo Bess: This is a great community, and the recent Christmas promo from the devs looks like a promising (and lucrative!) marketing move. Excellent idea!
I saw many vets on tonight coming out once more to see the game... and my, how it's changed! Stalking the forums hasn't done justice, experiencing the changes first hand you can really get a sense of where this game is heading and how far it has progressed. You've definitely got yourself a re-subscriber here. Even my year 2000 wiz-bang wondermachine! iMac handles it pretty well considering it's age.
As for JB's comment on VO being not the most engaging: it's as engaging as you make it. While competitors (which are fast on the rise in the Space MMO genre it seems) may have a more engaging universe/more endgame playability/better xxx feature, VO at the moment has one thing over them - it's community. Use it to your advantage, eventually more will join in creating more resources for the devs, thus creating more endgame features... you get the picture. VO (personally) compared to other similar MMO's seems like one of the most well thought out, and well crafted of them all. It's only a shame that there are so few behind it (and supporting it).
Wrote this at six in the morning with no sleep, so apologies for any lack of syllogism and grammar, hopefully my point is clear though. Here's to VO and all the great people in and behind it!

Came back today, and oh my, things have changed since '06!
I also came back recently (although I pay a yearly subscription...) and it's amazing how things have changed ! But, indeed, in the community not much have : same nice community as before.
And A-Dawg, this game have another thing over its competitors : it is multiplateform. This is the reason why I pay my subscription even if I have not played in month. I like to support development of multiplateform games.
Keep going dudes ! That's the best game I played in years !

I gotta echo Jess here as well, also if I may I'd like to put birthday wishes for my son, he turns 1 today.
Does anyone have a copy of ambient7.ogg they would like to upload? It would really bring back the fun memories for this game. Thanks :)
Here's an mp3 version: http://files.filefront.com/ambient7mp3/;8092406;/fileinfo.html
Awesome! Tyvm!

I wish this mix of so many new and old players could last forever. I'll miss you guys when you leave again. Remember IRC is always available set it up before you leave.
If they arent cheap bastards after the time runs out it can last forever!!!
@CrazySpence Don't talk about our friends that way :) I am a cheap bastard, but i bought 3 months in the game because i was bored (winter break from college) and needed something to do. And that was before i got the free time. And some people have time constraints that don't really allow them to play that much.
I will enjoy my old/new friends as much as i can right now and hope to see them soon.
