Yesterday i wrote a script that tracks unique usernames and saves them to a data base

I also had it track the time/date the user was last seen which has essentially created a vendetta seen database:

these 2 scripts are free to be used in any community site, project, widget, plugin, whatever

Seen will probably undergo a revision to say when someone is actually online now but the general format will remain the same. These have been left bland for easy inclusion into any type of project, lines end with \n

the database is updated every 5 minutes

Cool, except it erroneously states that Vendetta characters have a minimum of three characters:

Vendetta characters are a minimum of 3 characters in length

Could also use some additional error messaging. For instance, and I'm assuming this is simply because said characters have not been online since you've started collecting data, but sometimes I just get a blank result.

Gavan, VO IS now limited to 3 chars minimum for a username. Yes, there are characters with less, but no more will be created, and they can be considered *special*.

Hey spuck I just tried this out and it works great!

One thing however, it doesn't correct # signs to %23 which I know isn't your fault because you used the http lua plugin so...whoever made that, you don't handle # signs correctly!

Fortunately at the moment only 2 usernames in the whole 1852 harvested have # signs in it!

Stats monitoring has been updated it now shows users seen in the last 24 hours and users seen weekly and also a 7 day average of new nicknames spotted per day

Behold, the imaginatively named fancySeen. Anyone you add is added to the url so you can bookmark it. I did it this way because well, I've done cookies before and doing them again would have been boring.

What do you type into the add box? What will it do?

type a vendetta character name like CrazySpence or mr_spuck

and it will tell you when they were online last
