No patch tonight

Our new-user-sector stuff and other work is running behind, and we don't want to do anything to risk new-user-experience stability right now, so that'll be along next week. There will be a restart around 4am on Saturday morning for some unrelated back-end fixes and other debugging.

I will hopefully have some new persistent mining missions in the not-too-distant future which will alleviate some of the mining related concerns. The needed additions to the PCC editor were added tonight.

We have more than doubled the number of cores serving the game in the last couple of days, so there should be plenty of capacity for running Hive Skirmishes; and Border Skirmish is still running on a unique server. We're also going to try some further profiling of BS next week, so we may ask a lot of you to participate in a skirmish to get plenty of data for further optimization (profile-arcs type opts, as well as possibly trying LuaJIT).

That's all for now. Take care, and a big welcome to all our new users.

The huge influx of new users is more encouraging to me than an update this week!
