Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease dont use this... Why can't n00b pirates do like grim... keep it in 1 or 2 lines... there's really nothing more annoying than getting your chat filled up with "pirate messages"...

The other day 2 - 4 pirates were doing it like this resulting in chat being filled with spam constantly.

And it *is* spam, and it gets you nowhere if you get ignored because of it!!!

I like your nice way of saying it though - keep that up ;)

Again, flood protection needs to be implemented for Vendetta.
Jul 11, 2003 Dagger link
Yeah. My pirate message rocks. Short, but good.

Cheers, Grim.
Jul 11, 2003 BusMasteR link
Yep, Arolte - it really does...

until then we'll have to hope for grims skills as a leading pirate, to keep them from pirate-spamming ppl to death ;)

/me likes UncleDaves message best, it's a poem :D

Anyhow, I tried the following once, for um... testing puroses... yea...
/me only did this once! really! And he warned people so they would ignore him! It's true!

/alias spam "say spam; say spam; say spam; say spam; say spam"
/alias spamm "spam; spam; spam; spam; spam; spam; spam; spam"
/alias spammm "spamm; spamm; spamm; spamm; spamm; spamm"

t'was scary.
/me votes for flood protection

/me looks at genka's spamming alias and starts shaking...

really scary...
Jul 11, 2003 Eldrad link
Two hundred forty lines of spam! That's truely evil.
Jul 11, 2003 genka link
I only did it once...
Jul 11, 2003 Leqiator link
the speed at which most people type now someone negats the usefulness of anti-spam. for all ye cs players, remember the servers with flood protection? your trying to talk to your team, and it keeps going U TALK TO MUCH! STFU.
Annoying.

Ok, if its too long im sorry, ill fix that. And a message to pirates :
BE POLITE! IF YOU ARE NICE, THEY WILL BE NICE AND NOT GET THEMSELVES KILLED!.

And to syndicate n00b...

Ever tried:
/alias spam "say spam spam spam spam spam spam"
/alias spam2 "spam"
/alias spam3 "spam2"
/alias spam4 "spam3"
/alias spam5 "spam4"
/alias spam6 "spam5"
/alias spam7 "spam6"
/alias spam8 "spam7"

256 lines of spam. And it doesnt hurt as much on the fingers :) Quicker too.
Or how about make it 512? Just add spam9.
1024? spam10.
Jul 11, 2003 a1k0n link
He's probably hitting 'back'. I need to fix that.
Jul 11, 2003 The Kid link
well it's his fault not using a browser that warns people of sending the data again :/ Mozilla does.
Jul 11, 2003 The Kid link
Leqiator, you're not doing it right... I did the right way and had like 256 lines sent at once.... d/ced someone... scary...
Jul 11, 2003 Leqiator link
? so why does it work. what have i typoed?
Jul 11, 2003 a1k0n link
It's only going to send one line of spam. All your aliases do the same thing, because they each only execute one command. No recursion.
Jul 11, 2003 roguelazer link
Why is every one of Leqiator's posts a double-post?
Jul 11, 2003 Leqiator link
ROFL! omg i did it again. Sorry, just realised. shud be a double command per alias. Rofl thanks for pointing that out. And yes, i hit refresh to check if people have posted. i only just realised its sendign again. fix plz devs :)
