Cogentco Pwned by Sprint
Here's the slashdot discussion and a link to the actual article itself.
(FM: Not sure if this belongs in "General", but it does have to do with Cogentco, which does cause a lot of issues with VO at times... feel free to move around as necessary.)
EDIT: In retrospect, the thread should be named something more like "Sprint Customers Pwned by Sprint-Nextel's Pwning of Cogentco" or something...

Sprint users currently have access to us via Level3 and RR's network. So, a few more hops, but it should be working fine. Our colo has somewhat diverse connectivity, so something like this can reduce performance a little, but shouldn't break connectivity.
lol. Go Sprint.
I had Nextel, who was engulfed by Sprint. Not happy. Sprint.com is the worst website evah!!!
not sure who to pull for here.
Sprint sucks.
Cogent sucks.

I'm not really sure who is wrong here either. SprintLink's IP services are normally pretty good. Cogent seems to have a history of peering problems with the other tier 1 providers, and always pointing the finger squarely at the competition. Sprint's act of cutting Cogent off from their network completely, though, is fairly crappy.

Given both sides of the story, I'm now more likely to believe Sprint's press release. Especially since Cogent has had a history of these problems with other providers.
