The suggestions-to-implementation speed has become impressive.

Ugh, now I have to make it so TCS/Central doesn't break the NFZ indicator. Oh well.

That's actually fairly useful, but I'm probably going to represent it differently out of aesthetics.

nice.

bravo, this is an excellent addition

sigh.... You force me into factioning my UIT up to the level where I can buy the TD. A pox on you:)

Very nice indeed with the NFZ work!

So now the Sky Command is only 2000 more than the X1. Really? Isn't that less than it was with small ship prices?

The one thing that everyone seemed to agree on was that it made sense for the prom to be the most expensive by a lot. A 70k X1 seems way, WAY too much, especially if sky command is gonna be left at 72k. I liked the SCP price, but really if you want to leave the X1 at 70 it needs to go up.

aye , good update

Very good update, but I'm curious why you added the NFZ indicator to the center region of the HUD. In a game like VO, where reaction is so important, the center region works best if it only contains information *directly* related to the combat you are involved in (such as your health, energy, speed, your opponents health, distance to yer enemy FA on and off, auto-aim on and off, etc). It might sound a bit anal, but having to take your eyes of the center of the screen for only a microsecond can affect combat, and having information in the center that does not pertain to the current battle might have a similar effect.

Ah, well, it can be turned off. But I would like to have the indicator, but situated in one of the outlying HUD elements.

The new price work is really, truly lovely. I am anxious to see what effect it will have on PvP, because I'm fairly sure the effect will be a beneficial one.

Another round of excellent changes.

Absolutely awesome. And, Ion, the NFZ indicator IS directly related to combat. If you're fighting in a station sector, you want to be DAMN sure you know whether or not your next hit will loose the hounds of the station on you. And that's something that could (and has) happen in the middle of a fight, drifting into the zone.

Damn, now I want my UiT faction up, damn devs are gunna make me puke!

Good update :)

[edit]

though, to be honest, the TD still needs minor buffing to be worth it. 220 < 235 ....

but it's good to see that it is getting some love.

Oh sweet, I wanna see the new NFZ representation on the HUD.
I may have to login tonite.

@tumblemonster: Thanks for the advice. Thankfully, I was already using that plug-in ;-) My protests were of a more general nature.

@diqrtvpe: After more than three years of VO, I can't remember a *single* time that I've strayed inside the (previous) 3000m limit in Sedina V Hold, unless I wanted to (which, admittedly, happened a lot, since most of my enemies were also my attackers, and far more skilled than me ;-) ). The inconvenience of having the NFZ in the center region far outweighs the times when I've needed to keep a watchful eye on the NFZ borders.

But I suppose that now that the HUD elements are fully moveable, the point is moot.

Great update regardless.

yoda≠tumblemonster despite tumblemonster's insistence he is actually every player in VO at the same time
Oct 18, 2008 smittens link
Yeah tumblemonster is right. You gotta keep track of who we all (actually) are.

But really, no one else finds SCP barely being the most expensive a problem?

Aramarth: "I suggest that the base cost for a prom and valk be increased by 10k, and their top end models scaled accordingly."

*prom and valk* - http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/1/19806?page=2#247702

FatStrat85: "I like that the SCP is more expensive than the valk and all the other combat ships. It's by far the most unbalanced ship for a 1 on 1 fight and therefore the new price tag is exactly right in my opinion."

LostCause: "I could definitely see IDF/X-1/SCP at 80, 90, and 100k respectively."

Okay so there were less quotes than I thought. But still, come on!
