Directx 10
Any plans to support it and Vista 64?
I'd sure be keen (for obvious reasons).

DirectX 10 is a very different animal from previous versions. I don't know what's involved with supporting it, I'd have to ask Ray. But generally speaking.. No. We don't need all the advanced features of DX 10 right now, and we do need a lot of gameplay work. The manufacturers are supposed to make their DX10 cards work properly with DX9. Of course, the newer the hardware and drivers, the more likely there are to be transitional problems.. especially with lower-profile games.
Vista64 is supported. We even supported the fancy "Styles" stuff, so the Updater looks nicer in Aero Glass. The most recurrent Vista issues reported were with popping in audio (which, as far as I know, we fixed by changing to Vista's new audio system), and issues with the Vista UAC security layer. The UAC thing is annoying, but can be worked around until we release a new Vista-compatible game installer. Quite a few people are using the game in Vista64 (including us), without any problems.
What I would suggest, for the moment, is posting screenshots, along with log files (errors, driver logs), etc, in the other thread. We'll get in touch with ATI/AMD, and see if we can get them to debug the problem, and/or send us some hardware for testing. It won't be an immediate fix.. there rarely is one for major driver issues, unless you get lucky and they happen to push out a new rev that solves the problem.

Ask a polititian nicely . They will pledge billions of dollars/ pounds/ euros / shells / wee odd shaped stones to ensure the liquidity of your hardware / software / addons / printers / drivers and er stuff .
If your computer was made in Iceland , er, , give up and smack the nearest cod with a mallet .
Most of the roids in pelatus will be evicted due to the fact that they had sub prime ores .
Och , sorry I'm gabbleing , but I'm angry . Not for me , I'm old and past caring . I'm angry for all the young folk trying to live and love with idiot financiers messing up their lives . Anger at the system is the only real thing I can contribute .
Been a tough week . Whistler , move this to off topic , I'm way off the thread here ..

Heh, duly noted :). Idiot financiers have been around for at least 8,000 years, and probably not going anywhere soon. Some of the earliest writings unearthed from ancient Sumer were receipts and contracts.
Anyway.. moving back to Vista64. I dunno what else there is to say beyond what I did.. but I'll leave this unlocked for the moment in case anyone else wants to chime in on "Vista64 doesn't work for me" or some such.

To be more specific in how we "Support" Vista64.. no, we don't have a 64bit client. But the 32bit one runs just fine in Vista64.
