"Stories make missions, NOT mechanics."
Yes!
Does the Mission Editor run on a Mac? If so, I may give it a try.

It runs in a web browser, so yes. We only "certify" it to work in Firefox, but it also runs peachy in Safari and Google Chrome as far as I've seen.
don't worry Inc, OSU will get finished, I just haven't had the time. It has been in the back of my mind nagging me to finish
it'll be finished.....Soon

Long term EQer here.
And most quests are pretty straightforward; what can make them more interesting is the thought that goes into designing them, and the background story.
So this looks to have some good potential, presuming I ever get to play game properly; 8.10 catalyst drivers are two days old and no joy. Played a bit of Cysis Demo with high settings, runs good, so don't think card is faulty.

30-some missions later, the editor sure feels intuitive.
Congratz, Guild Software!

Aye phaserlights missions are always fun , even for experienced players .
Gah, Perhaps my expectation of "powerful" and "intuitive" is way too high. Regardless, this is a hugely kickass new step in the game's direction. Hopefully people with more time and patience than I have will do some neat stuff. My first couple of missions have languished for, what, 18 months? And I hardly have ANY branching.
Having some kind of auto-indent for the different nested items would be a huge step towards "intuitive"-ness.
Or maybe I'm just a complaining whiner, never satisfied with the hard work that Inc throws at us.
Reminds me of a Calvin & Hobbes comic strip:

My advice:
Kick back with your herbal sedative of choice
Read the backstory
Let your imagination go crazy
Start writing
Play what you create
Repeat the last two steps until you have something good
