Is there any way to trigger an mp3 to play on a certain event?
i.e. if a player shot me it would play "battle music"
when I docked at a station it would play "station music"
when I left the station it would play "space music"
and so on and so forth.

wouldnt that be tied in with 3.3 and the triggers?
Yes, an event-driven score is actually part of our long term design. The work going into 3.3 will help make this possible.
Who does/will do your music?
I used to write music, in years past. I was a peripheral part of the underground "tracking" world, that made "MODs" and "S3Ms" and the like (Guild Software was originally a little-known "demo" group, back when we were teenagers meeting on weekends in my living room). Anyway, most of this is all probably meaningless to people.. but in any event, I used to write some music, and I'd like to do some for our game. I had also hoped to enlist the help of some of my friends from that era, many of whom have gone on to (relative) fame and fortune, writing music for games like "Unreal" and such. We'll see what happens. Audio is pretty important to me, but the fundamentals of gameplay are higher on the priority list.

Don't forget the dude who made Parsec's music--Stefan Poiss. Great music that's quite appropriate for Vendetta's atmosphere.

Sounds like what TA had. Also I was wondering if and when Vendetta Final comes out, will you use RBA? That way we could all jam to Vendetta without having to convert any songs. Yo.
