Few questions and comments from a trial user.
The game was really fun and interesting when I first started. I'm not saying that it is a bad game in anyway, but it seems to have slowed down a lot. All the mission I can do are either a repeat of the same missions I have completed, or the Advanced fighter mission were it seems to take me 10 minutes to kill one of those ships that are supposed to show what real fighting is. I cant see myself having fun with this game if that really is the real fighting in this game. I was just wondering if I am doing something wrong with the Advanced Fighter mission and when or were do I get new missions instead of the same ones in the starting place. Hope you guys know what mission I'm talking about. Still probably going to pay for the game when the trial runs out. It is the best on the internet right now in my opinion, reminds me of Freelancer.
Welcome youdiemelive
The advanced fighting missions is not supposed to show what real fighting is. If you are looking for more challenging and interesting fights, fight other players.
Many players often gather at Sedina B-8 for 1v1 or group fights, so try going there. Beware though, it's lawless space and sorta dangerous for newbies.
Also, try joining a guild once you raise your licenses a bit more.

It isn't really the fighting thats boring for me at the moment. Its the same missions over and over. Should I just keep doing them to get new ones, or should I go somewhere else? Can anyone recommend any good guilds? I plant to PvP a lot later. Thanks for the help.
Better plan to PvP a lot sooner--there are currently zero substantive mission lines.
Indeed.
Most of the content in VO is currently player-driven, youdiemelive. PvP combat is a huge part of the game, and luckily, it's awesome here. Since so much of the content is player-driven, joining a guild definitely helps to keep things interesting. Before we can recommend guilds to you, we need to know what you want to do in VO. If you want focus on PvP, the common roles are nationalist (either Serco or Itani), pirate, or anti-pirate. If you don't want to focus primarily on PvP, you can be a trader, miner, or medic. Each role has 1 or 2 major guilds that focus on it.
Don't join a guild. Guilds segment the community, force you into a small circlejerk you can't ever shake off and then rape your dog.
It's pretty ugly.

If the above is true, I'm confused as to why Genka is not in a guild.
I am! I've got two characters in one of the originalest pirating guilds!
Thanks! I am mostly interested in PvP at the moment. Probably end up messing around with trading and stuff when I start paying for my account. I cant really decide between the types of PvP right now but im leaning towards anti-pirate and nationalist.
If you are using the EXACT same station for all missions, that could be your problem.
Mining stations have mining oriented missions, short but something new.
Xang Xi, Orion, TPG, and other various stations within or around the systems Latos, Sedina, and Odia have Hive Skirmish missions which are something like advanced combat but a little more in depth. Similar missions are located in Serco and Itani space.
There is BP and CtC which is primarily Serco vs Itani but anyone can join in the missions.
The rest is player driven, like Nation War, Deneb Run, Ultimate Wingman Tournament, TGFT Convoy, and maybe a cappy fight once in a while.

So I can go to Sedina and those kinds of places being as new as I am? Without constantly dieing?
Sorry mate, unless you are god incarnate, you're going to die alot.
Convoy missions are imbalanced and in five minutes you can easily make up any losses you sustain in combat.
