simply marking inactive guilds as such should be sufficient

just put them all in dark grey or something to denote their lack of activity

We were just going to come up with a method of "hiding" inactive guilds, based on the activity level of their leadership (ie, less than X percent of leadership hasn't logged on in 3 months, then "hide" the guild on the page). This way, nothing has to be totally erased, but the list would still be relatively current.

so now there will be shadow guilds, neato!
