Welcome to VO, Vectren. If you're looking to join the 'underdogs', you should be joining the Serco Dominion.

As you're an (ex?) EVE player, I expect that you're probably going to be looking for a guild (VO's equivalent of corps) right away. Most guilds will not recruit pilots still on trial accounts, but here are a few suggestions should you decide to stay on as a paying member:

[1] Big Red One - If you're interested in fighting for your nation as a Serco, join this guild. They just formed a week or so ago and are actively recruiting.
[TGFT] The Guild of Free Traders - One of VO's primary trade and mining guilds, so if you're interested in that sort of thing, TGFT might be the place for you.
[PA] Phoenix Alliance - Another of VO's primary trade and mining guilds, so if you're interested in trade and mining, PA might also be a good place for you.
[VPR] The Vipers - VO's dedicated anti-pirate guild. If you hate pirates and want to help everyone, not just the Serco, this might be the place for you.
[CLM] Cargo Liberation Movement - One of VO's two active pirate guilds. If you like to yarr, this might be a good match.
[Syn] The Syndicate - VO's other active pirate guild.

SCAR is SkyCommand Assault Regiment they are another serco guild, they've been around for a good long while now, and i think they are recruiting. I'm not sure though as I'm a council member of CLM

yea that sounds like you to try and skew a new player's view of the game.

Right now SCAR has no real way to even recruit players as Nautargos owns both LT spots (Bank/Shop) and has not been ingame in several days, probably closer to a week. It was not mentioned for that reason.

lnh: I'm afraid MSKanaka is correct here. Aside from what has already been pointed out, SCAR has no Commander at the moment and appears to be in a transistional state. I'm sure they'll re-organize soon, but for now it's probably not the best choice for a new player.
