Pirate's Toolkit is dead, long live TCS.
Pirate's Toolkit has been replaced by the much more configurable TCS. TCS also has a bit more added functionality and will soon have a lot more. Don't be out of date, check it out here:

I must be hopelessly out of date, since I'm a pirate and have never used "Pirate's Toolkit."
What's it do? (Besides report my sign in name, password, and constantly update you on my ingame location?) >:)

None of the above. From the README file:
This is the ToasterCrush Plugins Suite.
Plugins contained in this pack:
AlertMachine - Displays text alerts when players enter or leave your current sector.
AutoNav - Sets your next waypoint that of your target if they jump out of sector while in range.
Useable through /autonav as well
ChainFire - Writes chainfire aliases for defined weapons groups
MakeFriends - Customizes how friends and enemies are displayed on your radar
VOClock - Adds a clock to your PDA and HUD
For me, the most useful of them are MakeFriends and AlertMachine.
The first allows you to edit who appears green and who appears red on radar, allowing you to control anywhere from faction-wide to fine-grained guild and player lists. It also allows you to set several presets.
AlertMachine posts now-configurable messages to your chat text when someone enters/leaves a sector or radar range or changes their ship. Any of the messages can be turned off at-will through the configuration menu.
Edit: Any of the "active" plugins allow you to enable them or disable them on the fly through the options menu. ChainFire is the only one you can't right now, because it only writes binds instead of constantly running inside VO

That sounds useful to more than just pirates.
I originally wrote the plugins to make Yukimaru's job of killing hapless traders easier, hence the old name. It's not called Pirate's Toolkit anymore now, slightly more friendly rebranding.
Added new plugin module~ See thread for details~
HA! man I wish I knew about this pack before. Thanks for the awesome plugins, it's made life alot easier :D Keep up the good work.
Question: how does one install this for Mac OS X? I have opened the package contents but see no folder titled plugins...
Just create one.
All's well, I did just that on a whim not expecting it to work and am very satisfied, great program. My only complaint is that when I go from a station to botting, I have to choose to make the bots and station guards red, or green. I can't seem to have it the way it was before with bots as hostile and station guards not. ty
MakeFriends, right? That's never been an issue for me. I leave "Unaligned" as enemies, and tick off all the nations/corporations as friends. Works like a charm.
