Why?
1.8.3 -> 1.8.4 -> ... -> 1.8.9 -> 1.8.10 -> ... -> 1.8.20 -> ... -> 1.8.23
1.8.3 was a long time ago.

And the response is a complaint about version #'s? Sheesh.

looks like voice chat aint working for some people, best i can tell its working on my end, but i cant get anybody to test it with
Tried to test it with look, but PTT (nor voice activation) was working on my end, and I couldn't hear him. On OS X if it makes any difference.
Voice chat was down right after the update, but was working by the time we left the office (about 1:30am CST?). Any reports of problems as of today?
VO's still not loading gkvc.dll on my Win98 machine. Voice chat is completely disabled because of it.
Yeah, I don't think it'll ever work on windows 98. That has nothing to do with our code or choices though.
voice chat was not working at 2:30pmish.
Aha, my voice chat was not working yesterday at around 10 PM CST. Mebbe I was just ahead of the curve. I'll log in to see if it works now...
NOPE - Unable to initialize Voice Chat.
was working fine under 1.8.21.

The chat server was down, but should be back up and running now. Please double-check when convenient, thanks.
Ah, so the broadcast indicator that pops up in group is actually feedback from the chat server rather than just an indicator from the local client ?
If so, very clever feature .

Yes, technically it's all the "same": it simply means "this user is now sending" according to the chat server. So, if you're in a one-person group and sending to yourself, that's kind of silly, but it's effectively the same as seeing that someone else is talking.
