We're still working out some kinks, but the new trial accounts are now 16 hours, and there's an email-address verification step, etc. All the stuff I talked about in the newspost a month or so ago. FYI.

Mine still says I have so and so time out of 8-hours left, should I listen to the 8 hours or is it really 16? I signed up on Thursday, same day of this thread starting.

When you signed up, did you have to do the reCaptcha verification thing?

The 16-hour thing actually didn't go into effect until the day *after* I posted this, due to a developer oversight (not.. mine).

In any case, it's in place now.

Hmm I just realized I did sign up the day after (Friday), oops last time I was thinking the 20th was Thursday.

So do I still get it? I just don't want to play and only have 8 hours to try it out considering I have been reading other posts about a steep learning curve, I have played a bit so far and hoping to continue.

If the reports I heard were correct, it seems that all accounts got updated to the new trial length, regardless of when they were made. Thus, all old trial accounts that had used their 8 hours should now have another eight, and any that had used a portion of their eight now have the old time remaining, plus another eight hours.

I'm fairly sure they just changed the kickout function so it'll plant a boot in your petard once it clicks onto playtime(16:00) instead of playtime(8:00).
