Some things that didn't make it into the motd:
- Border Skirmish Valkyries now also have Iceflares
- Border Skirmish Proms now have AGTs
I hope the other BS changes make it not quite so slow (framerate wise) for some people. It's definitely better in some cases, but also potentially worse in others. Still a work in progress, but hopefully getting better. We'll do more behavioural changes (like NPCs not mobbing quite so much) as we move along.

^^^ lol finally some love for the XT after 2 years of me screaming about it.

It might actually be more interesting for at least some cap ships to have less armor and shields, but be significantly better armed. Just a thought. Sounds like a good update, I'm excited about the behind the scenes super secret stuff. I think "outside technology" means you're putting fast food in stations. I can't tell you how many times I've docked at a station and thought, I could use some Taco Bell right now.
Good detail changes . My relatives will have a play in BS and see how it goes .
Nice update. Thanks!
Chaos: well, that's pretty much what we did. We dropped the shield recharge rate on the Teradon, and upped the turrets on most of the ships. They really require more complex work that I didn't have time for, but it's a start anyway.
can we get the new numbers?
> 9000
Oh, right. I noticed the increase of firing delay on the swarms, and didn't notice the slower recharge rate. My busy week is over, I can't wait to try another Border Skirmish and see if my framerate is better!
Can players in the ships still fire swarms arbitrarily fast?
Was your previous fire rate 30 seconds...? ;p
I was just trying to keep the number of swarm missiles on-screen at once to a smaller number. The previous recurring fire rate was 30 seconds, I increased it to 45 seconds. Users manning the turrets would probably only be able to fire every 45 seconds, except I think there's some exploit to get around that.
The shield recharge rate on the Teradon was dropped from 12000 to 9000, which is the same as the Trident. The total shield strength is still considerably higher than the Trident, but I doubt that'll be a problem for organized teams of bombing users.
