yeah this game is ok but....
i had no idea when i downloaded it that it would boot me after eight hours and try to charge me ten bucks. and no preepaid amounts... this really pissed me off.
I'm sorry if you were disappointed with the 8 hour trial but if you wish to play on the same account, using your login to the main site will allow you to pay for monthly subscriptions that vary from 1, 3, 6, 12, and 24 month packages with lower cost per month in larger packages via PaybyCash, Credit Card, and I think money order as well.
it was pretty clear that there was a trial period and that some (inexpensive still) montly costs are involved after the 8 hour trial.
see the billing options.

I removed your other thread because it was both redundant and contained a racial slur.
Surely you didn't expect to play for free forever?
I know that I was hooked after only five hours in-game...
this really pissed me off
It did? Really? Man, now that I know that, I really feel for you. No, seriously, I do. You should punish the game by depriving it--and all of us--of your presence.

/agrees with Lecter
if you dont like 10 a month, there are plenty of other games that charge twice as much for you to bitch about. plenty of games where youre over charged and there are thousands of players with nothing better to do than hunt down and kill newbies like you.

You can also technically prepay amounts, by canceling after the billing goes through. See the Billing FAQ, under Billing Options.
An hourly rate would actually be kind of cool. Maybe it could be the monthly rate divided by the average number of hours people play in a month or something.
*troll senses tingling*
the billing for vo is fine. price is fine too. but the real advantage comapred to some of the competitor products is the vo billing system works flawlessly (as far as i experienced it)
buy one thre 6 month, cancel subscription because you know after these x month there is loads of stuff to do... come back later when things are settled down abnd buy some more month if you want. easy as that.

As an ellaboration on the Billing FAQ, i was wondering:
If I buy a subscription for 1 month, but only play about an hour, and then I cancel the subscription, what will happen?

Are you trolling or are you actually being serious with that question?
As is clearly stated in the Billing section, VO subscriptions are sold from X date to Y date, in one month increments. As anyone with a 5th grade reading comprehension level could note by actually reading the above-referenced section before wasting our time by asking questions, you are not buying one month worth of playing time, to be used only when you're logged in.
So, to answer your asinine question completely and without requiring you to make even a basic inferential leap: if you buy a subscription for 1 month, but only play about an hour, and then cancel the subscription, you will be able to log in and play any time you want, for as long as you want, for one month from your subscription date. The fact that you may not play at all during that month is your own damn problem and in no way alters the fact that you are subscribed until the date one month from your subscription date. After that time, your subscription will lapse and you will have no access until you re-subscribe.

Well, ok, I think that about covers it.
Elmarand, you will find your answer embedded in Lecter's response, between all the sarcastic barbs. Don't mind him.
Also, once you cancel a credit card account, we purge your billing information from our servers, so it is impossible for you to be billed again without re-subscribing (you can re-subscribe your account at any time).
