Termination of account & recurring billing
Hello!
I'm just asking to make sure I understand this correctly before I commit money to this wonderful game.
I'm only able to play games in short bursts - often, I'm too busy to do anything gaming-like for months at a time. So it'd be logical for me to terminate my account from time to time, and reopen it when I have time for playing again.
It would be depressing though to come back and to find my characters gone after the account has been terminated for some months. From the diffuse information I could gather on the forums and the rules, I'm guessing that characters are not deleted upon termination, but I;d like to be 100% sure.
So, if I terminate my account, and reopen it after not paying for a few months, will my character still be there, or will I lose my ships, licenses etc.?
Thanks a lot in advance!

I think it safe to say that you would return to find your account fully intact. I've been playing for several years and have yet to see an account purge.
Thanks for the info!
I have only ever heard of a single account getting the bump. The original "Ghost" account was given to "-Ghost-", a regular player, at his rather persistent request.
The devs looked into it and noted that the "Ghost" account was a trial only, had been active only once (I believe) and hadn't been logged into for years.
Thus the only time I have heard of an account being altered/lost.

Actually it was the character _Ghost_ (not the account), and I believe the developers renamed him to Ghost after changing the original Ghost's name, not deleting it.
This was only characters, not accounts.
