How does one go about deleting their entire account? IE not just the chars but also this account that is used to post on the boards, etc?

We don't have a system for deleting accounts right now. If you don't play, the account will be deleted eventually, as part of the old-account-cleaning process (will probably take 6 months or so).

Sigh, was kinda hoping the devs could delete accounts. Are you planning on implementing it anytime soon?
