Hey,
Well, I just joined VO about...1 minute ago. So naturally, I'm wondering how to play and how to join a clan. It would be really nice if someone just like showed me the basics and told me useful information.
Thanks a lot.

For starters, this is a message board, not a chat-room, so there's no need to bump the thread every 30 seconds.
As for 'Clans', well, Vendetta Online doesn't have them, per se, but it does possess the equivalent; Guilds, the Largest of which being ITAN, TGFT, VPR, CLM, and SCAR.
If you intend to join such a guild, I'd suggest getting cozy with some of the high-ranking, or otherwise prominent, members of a guild, and then making a name for yourself. If you get enough (positive) attention, you might get an invitation to join.
However, if to intend to make a new guild, my advice is to forget it. There are already quite a few guilds, and not nearly enough players to go around. Unless you establish some really strong incentive to join, then it won't last long. In fact, speaking from experience, you might even have difficulty organizing enough members to make the guild.

Hey, PA is up there amongst the biggest...
regarding joining a guild: try applying on some websites, or asking ingame... regarding the basic help: do the tutorials, read the wiki and then ask other players, in that order...

Here's a very rough list if you want one of the guilds you tend to see a lot of in-game as well as the guilds that exercise the most influence.
Serco Guilds:
SDF (Serco Defense Force)
SCAR (SkyCommand Assault Regiment)
Itani:
ITAN (Itani Military Guild)
Un-Aligned:
PA (Phoenix Alliance)
TGFT (The Guild of Free Traders)
VPR (The Vipers)
CLM
SYN (The Pirates)

Again, thanks everyone for all your suggestions and feedback. Genka, thank you for the strange and seemingly alien language. Oh and by the way, who do you think you are Dr. Lecter? =)

For the record, ITAN doesn't stand for Itani Military Guild (it doesn't stand for anything) and CLM is Cargo Liberation Movement
We liberate teh cargoes from ze oppressive traders.
BUMPEDDY BUMP BUMP BUMP!
And we oppress those little cargoes in our hold. Holding them till we sell them away into the market.
Poor little cargoes. :-(
