why?

I am not sure if this is the proper form or not, perhaps it should go under 'bugs' or something.

Can anyone tell me WHY when you make items like the superlight, widowmaker and etc you have to LOAD the items, LAUNCH from the station then DOCK again? That seems way stupid and major failure somewhere. When you are making superlights you have to do this routine 3 times to get ONE (1) ship. If this is the case for one small peon ship I do not want to see what it would be for a capship or the like.

TGFT: Most likely to have a fleet of HACs greater than SCAR and Itan put together.

HACs need not cargo bays only massive magazines for reloading and repairing ships!

The mission trigger used in that was designed for "delivery" type missions, where it was expected that items would be delivered from outside the station, and an on-dock trigger would be effective. Obviously, this is less than ideal given the current circumstance. Frankly, I'm happy I managed to hack together any kind of quasi-"crafting" at all. Obviously, this will change for the long run, no one is expected to deliver thousands of items and have to dock and redock constantly.

We'll take a look at alternate mechanisms for this when I get back (like, say, maybe a "transfer items" button in the mission panel itself, that you press when you have the items available). Clearly, the current mechanics are less than perfect, but at least they exist.. we'll continue making them better as we go along.
