Missions in the Works

Hey, I said I'd get the Superlight out by yesterday. Sorry it isn't. I wanted to do it via a mission, much as I did with the Widowmaker, but that isn't working out so hot.

I have four new missions waiting to go, most of which break stuff in interesting new ways. Trying to work around the problems, will push them out this weekend if I can get them to function properly.

I for one say that it's okay. I can imagine how time-consuming it must be to set that kind of thing up. Can't wait though ;)

Yea just get em when you can Inc we've waited long enough a little more time to get them right wont hurt anything.

anyways whats the use for a conc rail anyways
i would rather inflict 2500 damage than nudging someones ship with a rail

Unless they change the stats again that thing seems to be exactly the same gun as what the levi currently uses.

could be fun for the piratey types although the mass might be a problem :P

The concussion rail does a lot less damage than the cannon the Levi uses. Aside from that, it's similar (it was based on the levi cannon).

I didn't have the ability to release the Concussion Rail until yesterday evening, due to some issues with the editor. Now I do, though, so I'll see about getting that out.

In the meantime, I had written a bunch of missions for another addon that, it turns out, I probably can't release that way anyway. So.. yeah. Lots of work resulting in no new missions :(.

How about you throw all those new missions out the window and release all the addons and new ship just like that? only requirements being licenses...

And it will always be space quake if everyone had your attitude smitt. Change has to happen, and no matter how small *questing* for items may impact the game, its still a welcome change in many eyes.

Oh, woe is me. How struck down I am by roguelazer's clever reply! It should have been obvious to me in the first place that forcing myself through even more of a mindless grindfest than now to get to the things that make me competitive in the fun part of the game is much more fun than just owning some sorry newb asses!

If only there was an elaborate set of mining missions I had to go through to get combat 1! That would be so much more immersive and fun!

genka, if you want "immersive", go fill a bucket with ice water and shove your head in it.

Or get a friend and try waterboarding. I hear it's lots of fun!

I am trying to make missions that are actually interesting for their own sake (although I haven't posted any yet). I am also trying to move the game towards a place that is not simply space-quake.

In light of the bickering, I think this thread has outlived its usefulness.
