looks like my computer will be down for a couple of weeks windows just shot itself in th UI and now exploerer isnt working properly and i have a really really fucked up desktop but i can still launch apps from my dock and the computer is still fast and responsive ?

At least it was explorer and not svchost, or everything would look pretty and normal, but you couldn't launch any apps or do anything.
