Are there PC capital ships in the game and how are they acquired?

incarnate,

that was a great post. Thanks for explaining this. I really loved to hear that from you directly like that. Makes sense and we are all impatient to do new stuff. Specially us players who have been playing VO for 3 years or more, we are sticking around giving our support and financial support so this can go where you guys are dreaming it to be and it will be.
One thing I was wondering: You always promised the pre-paid users to get a specialy something. Could you make the EC-88 available for us? I have only 1 parked at a station and I am too afraid to even use it. What do you say? :)

I saw a really nicely-done "exam" mission on the test server in capitol stations that gave access to the EC-88. From the way the mission text was worded I assumed it was Incarnate's--it worked perfectly for me when I took it; has it been tested enough to allow migration to the production server?

I think it's actually rogue's, not mine in any case. It has been submitted, and I'll take a look at it sometime soon. I'm not sure if we can make it exclusive to prepay users.. we might have to walk the database and insert a special case Accomplishment or something.

(For any newbies who feel excluded, the EC-88 is identical to the EC-89, just older and.. uglier. But some of us have nostalgic attachment).

Thanks for replying to my post Incarnate. I have paid ten bucks to see if a month of play appeals to me, and am trying it out as I find free time to game. Not sure if I'll stick with it ATM, but i do enjoy a lot though I think moe features will be necessary before I permanently subscribe.

It's really refreshing to hear that for such a relatively small game, there's guys making a serious effort to not only continue VO but actually improve it. Good luck, I hope to see VO continuing steady, if not strongly, in the future.

personally i dont care about content and features as long as the combat is great.
i mean just cause halo multiplayer doesnt have stores to buy stuff and trade commodities doesnt mean its not awesome.

incarnate, when you talk about a new crafting system, is it really what I think it would be? Things like using up resources and the like, all that stuff that'd make merchants and miners more important/interesting?
When you say "we really need a crafting system to do some of this higher level stuff properly", I hope it's not just *exclusively* for the higher level stuff but also for all ships and equipment. A basic starter set excluded of course (which should always be free and available).
Is that what you have in mind, or am I just dreaming?

Pi: Check out his post on the subject here: http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/11406#135265 for a rough idea of what he's thinking.

@Bean: No offense, but halo multiplayer always has people available to fight.

I agree with whoever said that player owned stations should come before PC capies... And maybe you could like limit it to 1 station per realm per guild? like make it so each guild commander could build one or something... then make them capturable, etc. etc. also, once you do that, you should make more explorable space, more systems and stuff like that. now THAT would be cool!
