I didn't know I only had 8 hours in the trial. Unfortunately, I started the game and was dead tired. So, I left the tutorial (because i didn't see a way to quit) and went to bed. I woke up this morning and found that I couldn't log back in.

Is there anyway to reset my trial period for my account?

yes, only way is creating a new account, or just paying for the subscription :)

For future reference, to quit just press esc, then log off.
Or in the chat, type /logoff
