...who laughs like a girl and too much of it to boot.
all aboard the failboat
I did get a lot of email, but none from BDPE people. Plus I read the email with mutt, so jpegs and so forth are just attachments I have to screw around to look at, and I generally don't bother.
My favorite email I got while I was gone was this:
From: Landon Curt Noll <(don't spam him) at ioccc.org>
Subject: you have won the ioccc 2006
Date: Sat, 15 Sep 2007 19:11:38 -0700

IOCC 2006?? shouldn't it be a little late for that? :p
Yeah, I was confused about that as well:
[17:26] <Miharu> so you won the IOCCC from last year, this year?
[17:27] <a1k0n> ioccc 2006 started dec 31 11:59:59 PM 2006
[17:27] <a1k0n> it's uhh, obfuscated.
[17:28] <Miharu> well, yeah. :P
[17:28] <Eonis> wait you won the ioccc?
[17:28] <a1k0n> there were 14 winning entries; mine was one of them.
[17:28] <Miharu> a1k0n being uber-l33t, are you surprised there, Eonis?
[17:28] <Eonis> not particularly
[17:29] <a1k0n> since i wrote that entry i discovered/invented some new shit that would make it way better.
[17:29] <a1k0n> so.. maybe next (this?) year.
[17:30] <a1k0n> i'll do something cool.

whats the reason for no buddies?
lol, awesome.
Hat off to you, a1, I hope you use everything you've learned from managing and maintaining a large project in the ioccc, and not the other way around as some people I have to cooperate with do.
